I am getting a Ruthveni and was wondering how it would do in my old chameleon cage that I built. It is big enough and escape proof enough, but I was wondering how it would effect the heat and humidity levels for this snake. Obviously, it will be indoors, and I will use an under-tank heat pad and heat lamp in a hood. Will this provide sufficiant heat? Will the screen let too much humidity out of the cage? Should I just go with a glass screen-top cage instead? Also, what is the best hot/cold temps for this species? This will be my first snake and it is a gorgeous albino, and I want to provide it with the best environment possible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
