The Bearded Dragon manual ????? and temps.

Barker109 Jul 26, 2003 02:21 AM

Got a question. I've been keeping my babies temps around 110 degrees on the basking spot. In the manual, it suggestion 90-100 degrees. At what temps do some of you keep you babies? Do you think 90-100 is accurate? Just curious as to what others do. How about the adults. I keep my basking spot at around 105 degrees. What about the rest of you? If I'm too high I can easily lower them.
Thanks for any response.
Take care,
Karen

I keep babies at 105 degrees or- a few, adults don't need to be quite as hot, I keep them between 95 and 100 degrees. The bearded dragon manuel is great, I am glad you bought it. These guys are very experianced, but it is also good that you are questioning them.

Thanks for the feedback Falias. I may drop the temps in my top cage. That cage tends to run higher temps since heat rises. I've noticed my two dragons up top don't bask on their rock rather beside it. They're probably trying to tell me something. Too hot maybe.

Your temps match what I like to keep mine at. The babies/juvis temps about 5 or 10 degrees higher then the adults temps at around 103-105. So baby/juvis around 105-110 is fine

Thanks, Mattman!
There seems to be a little variation in the temps that people successfully keep their dragons. Just checking to make sure
I'm in the ball park.
