Hi Justin,

well sounds strange to me! Ranched in Australia? Black alberti's pythons occure only on few islands most north of the Torres Straits in Australia but are wide spread in the south of New Guinea. As you know Australia doesn't permit any exports of native fauna so I can hardly believe that.

Shipped to germany and then back to somewhere else in the world?
Leiopython albertisii export quotas are limited to 450 animals from Indonesia per year (worldwide). You can imagine that there are only very few black ones available in Europe anyway and there are some people who would want to have some.
So, if you have the chance to get some take them if they are healthy!

I will get my prooved breeding pair of blacks next month *hehe*
and these animals are damn good looking!

There is no sexual dimorphism in wlps and black females will get about 2.5 m (~8ft) average size. But if you're lucky you get a 10ft animal *lol*. Their temper is not as bad as the northern golden race but the also know how to bite and are indeed very fast. But hey, didn't you have golden ones yet? So no problem for you, I guess.

All the best!
Cheers,
Wulf

the price is about 2-3 times the price of golden ones and that would be about $400-600 USD each.
