I cooled my adult female columbian for two months ending on jan. 15. On that day I put in my male with her and he was on top of her that night, that continued for about 10 days with several "hookups" seen. The female appears to bloat up a bit during the hookups, I could see lumps (folicules) in her.
The female shed out 4 days ago and has returned to normal size, color and shape, I fed her yesterday. The male now has absoultely no interest in her now. I read about this in Ronne's reptile mag. magazine article but have I missed the breeding opportunity?
Was her bloating a preovule swell? Should I keep the male in and wait for the real ovulations?
