Midnight Blizzard?

smith710 Feb 03, 2006 07:14 PM

Ok I was at a pet store and they had a gecko that they were classifying as paternless for $55. Its not a pet store that sells their products like how they look they just sell it. So I looked at it and it is very dark. No pattern at all but a very dark color with a very very very slight hint of yellow along his back. Could it be a midnight? Anybody else have any midnights they would like to share the pics so I could see. Is $55 a good price for even a paternless (possibly midnight)?
thanks

Here is one of my midnights. He is pretty rare as I haven't seen one to match his black yet. Most "marketed" midnights are just line bred to have a darker brown/grey coloration. I have began a breeding project with my male this season with some of the "marketed" midnight females which I am also including a pic of. Hope this helps. A very black velvet one would be priceless the marketed ones are going from $50 dollars for very B grade to $200 for A grade.

That's one of my "marketed" midnight females. If it is a blizzard then it could be a good buy. The only problem is even with blizzard sometimes stress, heating, etc. Can make them appear dark for a while and then they lighten up. Another thing is that if is a patterneless which can also get pretty dark and sometimes can be hard to tell from a blizzard as adults.
