Gopher Snake VS Back Hoe update.

jasonw Feb 03, 2006 08:47 PM

Hi everyone here is the update I promised. She is in her new permanent enclosure, We have appropriately named her Cat. I am sure I don’t need to tell anyone what that is short for. The run in with the Back Hoe “Hence the name” Really did a job on her but slowly but surly she is getting back to normal. She still has little use of the back portion of her body but as I said slowly but surly its all coming back. She is still getting use to her new home and as you can see is feisty as ever while defending it from this big white monster that was trying to invade it. I will keep the updates coming as we make progress. So far we are happy to at least see a change for the better. The sheer fact she is alive after her ordeal is a miracle, I have observed much tougher snakes die from much less trauma. I have also included a photo of her wound witch is healing nicely and should be all but gone shortly. ]
Its hard to see but below is the opend wound on the day we got her.

Below is the wound today. As you can see its healing nicly

Below are the 2 pictures I took of her tonight

Questions, Comments are welcome.
