what do I feed my tegu

Hi. I just picked up a tegu. The previous owner fed it chicken hearts/livers but I don't think that's good for it. I tried feeding it pinkies but it wouldn't eat them. What should I do? Thanks.

which kind of tegu is it?

the chicken liver is OK every once in awhile, but not as a stape diet at all. if its still small enough try some crickets.

I tried oranges, apples, and pinkies again. I didn't try the liver yet. Is he in burmation?
