Burm hasnt be growing...

FLAohHerper Feb 04, 2006 01:22 PM

I've had my burm now for about a year and a half and its around 5 1/2 feet which is very undersized for a burm that old.I feed it a large F/T rat about every 10 days..whats the problem?I live in Miami Florida right now so his enclosure is outside, and he always eats and is active and seems healthy.Anyone have any ideas on what the problem might be?

thanks,MIKE

If you have any doubts, get a fecal exam done just to rule out internal parasites; a heavy parasite load could result in a slower growth rate (particularly if the snake is kept outdoors where there is more of a chance for parasite transmission).
