Is it ok to feed wax worms to a young veiled?

yes. they are high in fat so should not be a staple, but they are also high in moisture, soft bodied so easily digestible. If you let some pupate and become moths you can offer them as well to give his tongue some exercise . Just don't let them (moth) get loose outside b/c they are serious pest to honeybee hives (thus the name)

Here's an article on insect nutritona and a handy little chart, too

Be careful though not to overfeed waxies as they are VERY addictive. I had a baby beardie who was sick ( i temporarily sheltered him) and all he would eat were waxies....after he got better he refused crix...it took LOTS of my free time to get him back on crix and greens...

Chams thrive on a varied diet so spice it up with mealies, waxworms, silkies, and various pesticide free bugs....Hand feeding them these little treats helps to make you cham more comfortable around you and tamer....

Good luck!
