Best Material for Rack

I want to make a good size rack for baby retics. What material should I use? Melamine, plywood? And should the heat tape go on the inside back? Any ideas or plans are appreciated. Thanks

I thoght these plans/designs were pretty neat if your into the do it yourself trend. I was thinking of making some for my adult balls and hatchling burms/retics but a large size tub should work for baby retics. Just an idea! If anyone has an experience with these please share!!!
