Hey, how's it goin ya'll? Thought I'd try to post a few pics. I'm a college student at Western Carolina University, and my dad owns Schneller reptiles and rodents out of Franklinton NC. I miss my animals alot, so my dad keeps me updated on his and my breedings and sends pics of some of my animals. Anyway, hope I can get the pics to post. Have a good one yall. Trey Schneller

Hopefully this will post, its a breeding between my 50% Harlequin/possible super to a clean circleback laddertail female. Keeping my fingers crossed anyway. Trey

Here is a pick of one of my dads red group males. It was from our red group male to one of my dads striped tail females. He gets better with each shed and will hopefully go on an albino or hypo next year.

This beauty is a 50% harlequin hypo from an orangetail litter and is a possible super that I just purchased from tim mcgee last weekend. The pic of course doesn't show the color, especially on the sides. Tim and Brendan are great people to work with, share laughs, and to see their animals up close, you better put on shades. Trey
harly female, only get better with age

Het Albino X Het Albino Copulation. My dad witnessed it because I'm never around for the good stuff.

Yeah that def. sucks. I left for school 2 years ago. My family lives 20 minutes north of raleigh, and I am 4 1/2 hours away from my home, so summertime is my heaven. Hopefully in a few years once I'm out of undergrad, I'll be out of the dorms and can take my animals to my own place and have them to stare at anytime I want. My dad got me into herps and then to boas right around the time motleys came out. We're working our way up and hopefully going to throw some good morphs this year!!!! Nice meeting you, and I'm excited to be a part of the forum. Trey Schneller

I will be starting at Purdue next year, and am able to take my animals with me. I live in Pittsburgh, so it would be impossible to care for them if I didn't take them with me.

All 14 boas will be going along for the ride!

BoidaeAddiction Feb 04, 2006 10:39 PM

Hopefully by the next year or two I'll be in your shoes; but luckly my boas are in the best care with my dad, and they are just as much mine as they are his. It's good to have a partner you can trust. Cheers, Trey

You are very lucky to have your father as a partner that is great. I went out of town for a week and had my father and sister come to my house and check on my animals and they freeked out when they got to the snake room but they were even more scared of the rats!

You have a nice collection and welcome to the forum.

My boas are just as much my dads as they are mine and vice versa.

srsnakes Feb 05, 2006 11:52 AM

Had to take our collection all with us through undergrad and graduate college. We just always made sure there was room for the snakes and we came second. It was great when we were in a one bedroom apartment and the snakes were in the bedroom while Steve and I slept in the living room on the couch pull out, then our first two bedroom apartment the snakes of coarse needed the master bedroom. LOL... The comprimises we are willing to make for the animals where crazy, but now they have a full room and they have beautiful new tanks and everything is going great for them and us so... just rememeber to take care of all they're needs and know that Steve and I are proof it can be done without any problems! Just lots of comprimises.

Sincerely,
Rose Aguilar

Thanks for the wishes, and I know what you mean. It's tough being in school and broke anyway, but my addiction to boas has me spending money at times where I probably shouldn't, but I can't wait to see the results that come out of that investment; to create animals that I would have never imagined owning 5 years ago. Thanks alot, Trey

It's very unique that a father and son can find something in common that they can discuss and chat about from time to time. But to share such an "addiction" such as boas with each other is the best. Here is a pic for your enjoyment. Harlequin/Orangetail.

Harlequin/Hypo with a little Bcc.

BoidaeAddiction Feb 05, 2006 01:57 PM

How's it goin. Good lookin harlequins you got there (lol); I can't help but drool over that thin saddled Harly, she truly does get better with each shed and as time goes by. You should post a pic of what she used to look like, to knock the socks off of Harlequin skeptics. Hope everything is running smoothly up at the house, wish I was there instead of working on a lab report!!!

michaelburton Feb 05, 2006 02:33 PM

What are the parents of that other beauty? What do you meen by "with a little BCC" Beautiful pics.
Michael Burton

whosnext Feb 05, 2006 03:45 PM

The thin saddle female was the product of a Harlequin/Hypo and a South Brazilian. She doesn't show bcc as much as her male sibling who is with a huge BCI now. Her color from 25% Harlequin influence and has really started to shine with size and age. As a baby she looked like a normal hypo.

The pink guy is 75% Harlequin from an F2 to an F1 breeding. This guy is going to be off the charts. With age and size these Harlequins only get brighter and more colorful. The higher percentage of Harlequin influence seems to be the key.
