Veiled in reptile room okay?

groundskeeper24 Feb 05, 2006 12:27 AM

I'm going to set up a baby veiled in a month or so. I currently have an ackie and a big tegu set up in here. Am I going to have to visually isolate 100%? Both of my lizards burrow for almost 22 hours out of the day. I wasn't sure if the rules for visual isolation apply to contained lizards as well as more free roaming stuff like cats/dogs. If worse comes to worse I can set it up in the vented closet in the same room and keep the doors shut when I'm not doing maintenance/feeding, etc. Thanks.

As long as it has plenty of plants to hide behind he'll be fine. I have a cat tht sits outside my Ambilobe's cage and sometimes one of my Veileds cage and they could care less. The feeling of being exposed and vulnerable will cause stress.
