About to shed?

macuilb Feb 05, 2006 09:04 PM

Hey!

I was wondering if my blood was about to shed, or if she has something else I should know. The thing is, today I took her out and I noticed her skin felt a bit rough. This is my first blood, so I'm a bit lost here.

She's also refused eating, that's why I thought this might mean she's about to shed.

Well, thanks!

Benjamin

Hey,
If you don't know for sure whether she/he is about to shed, then judging from your brief description it is possible that it is. However, with that said, it is also a good idea to up the humidity in the enclosure some too. Throwing a wet towel in to the cage or sweater box does have an effect on the humidity and helps with the shedding processing considerably.
