Hand feeding

WanderingLost Feb 06, 2006 11:14 AM

I have kind of a strange situation with my beardie. He loves any insect I give him, from crickets to the black beetles that my meal worms turn into. The problem, which isn't really a problem, comes with his greens. He won't eat out of his food dish. The only greens he eats are ones that I hand feed him. I love doing it, the only problem is that I don't always have time to do it. Some mornings I am forced to just put his food in his bowl, and when I come home it is still there, all wilted. Its not like he didnt want it though, because if I go get some fresh mustard greens from the fridge, he will eat a whole leaf as long as I rip it apart and feed it to him piece by piece. So I guess what I am asking, is how can i get him to eat the food out of his bowl? Thanks guys.

They get spoiled on hand feeding, the only way you're going to break him of it is to stop doing it.
