Okay, as those of you I have talked to know, I work for a pet supply retailer, so I get all sorts of vendor catalogs. I picked up the 2003 Zoo Med yesterday, and they have a top called "The Slider" which has a flourescent fixture as well as 2-3 incadescent fixtures. Sounds perfect for what I want to do, and I need 3 of them. Problem is, none of our distributors carry them, and I can't find anything about them. Have any of you ever heard of this? Seen it in a local store of yours... anything? LOL

while i have not seen that exact product, i have seen in most pet stores a product called a "combo light." im not sure who it is made by, but it comes in a big greenish yellow box, lol. it is a fixture that holds two incandescent bulbs and one flourescent one. check petsmart or petco, both sell it. good luck!

I think I did see one of those things at Petco. Its dark gray/black and its kinda huge like talk for most hoods. It looks pretty heavy duty. What are you gonna use it for?
