king snake in same room........

wisema2297 Feb 06, 2006 12:51 PM

I just adpoted a striped cali king and currently have him housed (securely) in the same room as my corns. Has anyone ever noticed wether or not this would cause stress in the corns assuming they could smell the king. 2 of my corns or in shed phase so are hiding anyway. Just wondering since kings would eat corns in the wild.

I have baby corns housed right next door to psycho killer baby kings and the corns arn't bothered a bit.
here's a pic of exactly how they're housed

Well...

I would say it wouldn't cause stress. This year I had about 25 kings, in the same room with garter snakes, milk snakes, rat snakes and ringneck snakes. The only time any snake would be afraid of another and would be stressed would be if it was placed in the same enclosure with a ringneck.
