Can I mix any other geckos with my Leo?

bluebug32 Feb 06, 2006 01:32 PM

I have a female leopard gecko who's around 2 years old. She's housed in 20 gal. long tank with lots of rocks and hiding places. My question is, is it possible to introduce any other geckos into the tank? If so, what kind and what are the hazards/benefits of doing this?

Thanks.

Beth

leopards or any other geckos dont like tank mates they rather be alone.if you do house leopards together there has to be at least 10 gal. for each leo plus plenty of hides and sizes of the gecko matter. when it comes to houseing different kinds of geckos it wouldnt be a good idea. they have different temps .plus they live in different habitats so its not a good idea .also health issues if one is sick others will follow.

also you do not want to house male geckos together they will fight females to house together.if houseing male and female be prepared for eggs.

I guess I was thinking of putting another female morph in. I was just wondering how they would get along? I have a 20g. long tank with lots of hiding spots.

You can put another female Leopard Gecko with the one you have. However even females don't always get along.
