I think we are ready!

kriswaters Feb 06, 2006 08:33 PM

Wednesday is the day...Rylie is bouncing around the house chanting "our new baby gets shipped tomorrow (tuesday)".

I spent most of the day scrubbing and cleaning my 22 gallon reptarium. I bought a ficus a while ago, and also, much to its dislike (i am sure) dunked it several times in a mild soapy water, then dunked several times til water was clear. I made sure everything was rinsed well...

The ficus sustained further trama when I manipulated it to fit into the cage. Luckily, it was very pliable, and I only broke one or two small branches...so far, no sign of oozing from the site. I had bought one of those "wood like vines" that you can move about...All in all...it looks good.

Hopefully the little guy does ok on his journey! I added the picture that was sent to me by the breeder...its the only one I have so far...

Hey im sorry to here about Pudge. I lost my mellers chams 5 months ago and it is still very hard to get over.

Your cage sounds pretty good only i have one question...Are you sure that a 22 gallon is big enough for an adult veiled? Or are you planning on upgrading to a larger cage when it becomes older?

Lost thread...there is so much stuff to read here!!!

The answer-YEP! Bought a 65 gallon before Pudge got sick...it' huge...I have to rearrange the furniture to fit it in the living room. Anyway...its pretty cool cuz the 22 fits inside the 65...will be helpful when the move to a bigger cage arrives. Tyler said to wait until he's about 4 inches....can't wait.

The pin-heads I bought for Kumar (gecko) are getting bigger...should be good eat'n.

Yeah your idea of placing the smaller cage in the larger one sounds pretty good.
