Kingsnake size

Orocosos Feb 06, 2006 08:48 PM

My California kingsnake is about 4 years old and he is about four feet long. Is this about an average size for a snake his age? When do Cal kings usually reach their max. length?

would depend on your feeding schedule and the genetics. this is a pic of my 4y/o banded and she is about the same size.but she is a breeder and probably looses some growth potential each year due to the fact that she is cooled down and not fed for two months of the year and will go into smaller meals while producing eggs. some snakes could get sick or not eat right for months at a time. so there is really no way of knowing if your snake is on some set growth path. hope this helps a little.

Cal Kings max out at about 4'. I wouldnt expect more growth than what you have.

Thank you so much, and congrats on having a snake that old. That's amazing!
