Can someone tell me if my Gecko's Belly looks normal?

Yellowconda12 Feb 06, 2006 11:34 PM

This is Dorothy she is my either 1 yr snd a half or two year old leopard gecko. She was mated with my striper in the late part of last year, She looked as if she was goint to start producing eggs but as sson as she started to get bigger, it all went away. Now she is begining to not eat, not even wax worms. I just need to know if anyone sees any signs of gravidity? Is that a word? Or it could be an infection, tell me what you think cause I don't know. Thankyou or any reply.

My first thought was eggs, but not having seen them first hand yet, I can't be sure.

Not a very clear picture but looks like she may be ovulating and producing a clutch.

Here's a picture to conpare her to. In my female you can see the two eggs she is about to lay on either side. Then in the middle you can see the pink area that is developing the next set of eggs.

You can see a heck of a lot more than just those eggs. See that little gall bladder to the left? Better detail than xrays

Thanks Ian. That picture took a long time to take, only because the person using my camera didn't know how to use it. That female is so tame she didn't even move. She's my sweety out of all my females. She laid that clutch two days after the pic was taken, and they are in the incubator and are fertile! Yippy!!!!
