Joe, A young lady at work has family that lives in Saltillo. She visits them about 5 times a year. I have asked her many times about the area but I thought that it was more Thayeri country rather than alterna. That is a screamer. The lady says the traffic is sometimes high in the area so it must be tough to hunt from the road.

Road hunting in Mexico is great if you love Road Jerky.
Of course that is a generalization, but it's generally true.
