Habitat of blood python

tje8585 Feb 07, 2006 10:59 AM

I have a question. I'm having a temporary problem with housing for my snakes right now and I am looking for some quick and easy solutions. Can a 3 foot blood python and 2 yearling columbian red tail boas live together in a 55 gallon tank without and problems?
Or...
Can the same blood python live with a full grown bearded dragon in a 55 gallon tank?
Again this is just a temporary housing solution. I am getting a bigger tank for my blood python but I have to wait 2 weeks.
Any other suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.

Easy answer to both questions: No. For many reasons, in fact too many to list.

Rich is right. You may want to consider "sterilite" sweater boxes or tubs of the appropriate sizes until you have your desired enclosures ready. They are cheap, readily available and easily made suitable. Plus, you can never have too many of them around.

It's a terrible idea. A 3' blood will be very happy in a large rubbermaid sweater box.
