If it possible to sex sub-adult gilas via ultrasound or do they need to me sexually mature adults?
I have two Nov 04' gilas.

I have tried ultrasound at one year but without positive results. In their 2. year in november sexing with ultrasound is quite easy. Use Marks book as a guide and you can´t go wrong.

I agree with Herold's post. I'm sure I've done ultrasounds on more Gilas, more times than anyone on the planet and I have difficulty before 2 yrs. old. I can sometimes tell earlier with some animals, but I am never 100% certain until 2 years old.
The best time to check is the fall of 2 y/o or even better, the next spring. If the person checking doesn't have any experience, spring (2.5 y/o) is better.
