Can someone please explane everything about genetics?
I would like to know but I can not figure it out.

Can someone please explane everything about genetics?
I would like to know but I can not figure it out.

I don't think that kingsnake.com would like it if someone posted a 300-500 page text.
You might check the corn snake genetics tutorial at www.serpwidgets.com. It's pretty good for recessive mutant genes, like amelanistic and charcoal. And the Cornsnake Morph Guide is pretty good that way, too.
Most of the basics are derived from genes coming in pairs. In some animals the two genes in the pair are the same (homozygous), and in some animals they are different (heterozygous). When sexual animals and plants produce the male and female sex cells, only one gene from each pair of genes is in each sex cell. When a sperm and egg unite to make a new individual, the pairs of genes are reestablished, with one member of each gene pair from the father and the other from the mother.
Hope this gives you a leg up.

Mick's Cornsnake Progeny Predictor
Version 3.01
This is a program that does a decent job of predicting young from matched cornsnakes, It's easy to use and while I will by no means swear by its results, many people have told me that it is accurate. you can download is at
