Ball python with swelling on nostrils above vents....info pleezzzzzzz..

I guess it would be an infection of some kind. Has anyone had this occur with any of yours before.. I dont know if it can spread or not. Its not affecting his feeding or anything but its a real concern, its his whole nostril area swelled above his vents on both sides. I had some pics but deleted them accidentaly..

i had something like what your saying happen to one of my babies. i determined it was because the vent holes i put in the snakes cage were too big and he was pushing his nose through it . this caused a swelling on each side of his face just where you are talking about. i closed up the holes and monitored the swelling. within a few days it was fine. i hope this helps.

Nope,,, its been like that for a couple weeks.. I think its an infection of some kind..it goes from the tip all the way to his eyes on both sides like his heat pits are inflamed...
