I have an 18 month old female who started laying eggs about 30 hours ago and she still has at least 4 inside. Any ideas on what to do next?? I would prefer a natural remedy but have a vet appt in a couple of days. Help please?

Try soaking her in lukewarm water. Sometimes that helps loosen things up.

Instead of stressing out the snake, keep things at a minimal. The less stressfull the laying ordeal is, the more likely it will go successfully. Keep the humid hide/laying box humid with a daily misting, and check to see if there is any obvious problems (a broken egg withen the snake, leaking cloaca, a twisted, straining snake for over 1/2hr without egg production ect). Keep the vet appointment, and cancel it only if the eggs come out nicely before it's arrived.

Thanks for the advise. We have tried the warm bath this afternoon and two of the eggs have definitly moved further down (they were almost mid-torso. the egg at the base of her tail (at the vent) still has not delivered yet but she doesn't seem to be stressed right now either.
We'll see what happens tomorrow.

I would say since it is only 18 months old there is a good chance she could be egg bound. Definately keep the vet appointment.
