Well I got my second ovulation for the season today. It came from a 1800 gm female that bred my 04 RDR het pied male. They have hooked up 6 times in the last month so here's hoping. That was the second female he has bred with. The first already ovulated and shed so hopefully in a few weeks I'll get my first clutch of eggs. He's breeding his 3rd female as I type. This is the 2nd time he has hooked up with her in a week. This is the same female that produced a clutch of 6 eggs that had my female pastel in it last year. She has gained 900 gms since her pre-breeding weight last year. She was 2600 gm last yr and is now 3500 gm. The first girl my het pied bred is a full black-back that I hope proves genetic and she weighed in at 3900 gm before going off feed. Here's hoping i get 3 good clutches of 50%'s this year and would be nice if that black back proves out. And finally an update on my citrus ghost male, he's now at an even 700g and just shed out with sperm plugs on it, too bad I'm out of females for him, lol. He'll have to wait till next year, I should have at least 20 females that will go next year. I need some more males!!!!!
