Does any keep an approximate humidity reading for incubation? I've read around and can't find a number, but more of "just add some water and ...". Any help = greatly appreciated.

if you use a scale and follow an experienced breeders advice on the ratio of water to the substrate you'll get what you're looking for. it's never been "just add some water and...". i respect your curiosity regarding the humidity, but no need to bash the standard method.
This season is my first breeding one but i found that i pay attention to the amount of moisture that gathers on the lid of the egg container. If it is a light fog i know i am good. If it is gathering into droplets than i know i need to wipe the condensation off so that it doest drip. I usually don't measure but i found that if you put just enough to make it into a crummbling snow ball without water dripping from it. If i were you i would experiment and set it up in the incubator. If there are no air holes in the box you should see that fog on the lid.
haha, don't worry, i'm not trying to "bash" this "sacred" method of judging moisture and humidity in my incubation medium. i'm just looking for a method that works better for me.
