How to become a known Delta Shipper

kylescott Feb 09, 2006 04:02 PM

I went to the website and they have a form you fill out, is that all you do? I have heard its kind of a pain to become a known shipper by Delta. Could anyone shed some light on this subject?

Thanks,
Kyle

You fill out the form and submit it to Delta. Then they contact you to schedule an appointment time to come to your facility/home. They want to ensure that you are who you say you are, and that you are planning to ship what you say you want to ship. It may take them a long time to accomplish this, but it is well worth the wait.

At least Delta KNOWS you are shipping reptiles and those reptiles will be insured when shipping with Delta. Additionally,
when you ship those reptiles, Delta will take care to keep them warm and sheltered from cold weather during the shipping. How many of you have received a dead Pastel Jungle that you paid $2850 for??? I did and it was shipped Fed Ex. The guy who shipped to me not only lost his snake, but he was out $2850 too. Think about it.

on the contrary...you can become a FEDEX certified shipper and i have yet to have probelms...I know somebody who shipped a large amount of high end animals through delta and had a number of his animals die...and nothing was done by Delta to rectify the situation. Accidents can happen...with Delta and FEDEX...thats the price we pay with shipping. We just need to make sure the animals are packed right...insulated box...heat pac or cool pack if needed and ship.

They also have a manager from your local airport come to your place to make sure you are really doing this for a business and have the ability to professionally ship them safely.. Anthony McCain-McCain's Reptiles..
