I read the forums religiously for dumerils. I have 2 one is 2 years and i can set a clock by how regularly he eats. Although the one is a yearling and she hasnt eaten since october. She had been eating regullarly on adult mice had trouble switching her to rats. But the wek before i was going to go on pure rats she struck an adult mouse (live) and he bit her back pretty good. I killed the mouse and gave to my kingsnake. This was when the trouble started she wouldnt touch anything i put in there. I have force fed her twice. This is when i started reading the forums. I have tried everything everyone has said and nothing worked until last nite. I placed 2 fuzzy mice in her cage and didnt find them anywhere in her cage the next day. I saw someones post saying that maybe i should try a few smaller prey items. So i did and it worked. I will try to feed her a p/k adult this sunday. Hopefully she will take it. But i just wanted to say that you all have been a ton of help and i have learned A TON about dumeril's and replaced alot of misconceptions i had about them. Thanks again EVERYONE.

Ok but they were babies, and i have never had a problem with the king snake matter o fact he wraps them both up and ate them both. My buddy breeds snakes and feeds 3 p/k mice to his corns and kings every other week. I didnt think that would be a problem. Im just happy she ate!!

ok wellkingsnakes are diff and since youre in a boa room i was referring to boas...not kingsnakes. plus i was meaning prey items with teeth. babies are the exception.
