I have a 2 year old male w. hognose. He was a fantastic eater as a neonate and for the first year I had him until the first winter. He has gone off feed last 2 winters and eventually ate again and never lost weight or behaved odd or anything. He went off feed this winter, no big suprise, and I kept offerring to see when he would feed again. Well he continued to refuse and I upped temps a little, no response. I started to notice weight loss so i tossed a live pinkie in there. He took it after a while, refused the next one a few days later and took 2 at once last week (all live). I figured he was beginning to normalize again and tried a F/t yesterday. He wouldn't even look at it. He usually won't react to them until they move, or flintch, then I see his predatory instict take over. He slowly jerks closer and closer with every movement and eventually eats it. I am pretty conifident he'll eat ok on live but it would it a lot easier and cheaper to get him back on F/T once his weight gets back up. Any tips?
