finally after 2 months of refusing to eat my bp ate on wedsnesday, she ate 2 mice. then last night she ate one more mouse...
i am wondering since she readily ate 3 mice, should she be moved up to small rats...... or should i feed her 2 mice a week for a period of time til she is feeding on a regular basis??

Rule of thumb we use feed something about the diameter or very slightly larger than the diamter of your snake. Adults are on regular rats for us, 250ish gram babies have gone to rat pups, smaller are on pinkies, hoppers or mice. Note rats have better nutritional value so they are ultimately better.

Just wondering what you are basing this statement on?

first and foremost, get the snake on a regular feeding schedule. after the snake has taken 4-6 feedings without missing any, you can try to switch to rats. The only benefit to feeding rats is that you don't have to feed multiple items to get the same weight of food. I have a few females that will only eat mice and they put on as much weight as the rat feeders do, I just hate breeding mice, they stink badly.
