On Chris Dieters new website, he has a section on worming crocodilians. Perhaps, if a crocodilian qualifid veterinarian isn't available, you can take a shot at this. If, this isn't possible...then a vet is your only option and you might want to MAKE it possible.

Check it out: http://www.thecrocodileexperience.com/worming.html

Why tube a croc of any size when these med's can be hidden in prey items?

your caiman has worms?
i dont know if ive ever heard of that...any idea of how he/ she could have gotten them? what are you feeding it? what are the water condtions, or is your water being filtered, temp? efficient living space?
The only advice I could give is if there isn't any veteranary assistance you could go to..than I would suggest going to where you baught the caiman and asking them if there is any kind of a de-warming suppliment you could be giving him.
good luck...

Dwarf Caimans that have been imported commonly have worm/parasitic problems.

The de-worming med is script only from a vet. Are croc illegal where you live and thats why you cant go to a vet? Either way, you can find the of the de-worming med from one of the sites listed in previous posts. Call you local vet, and tell them you need that med for your snake, lizard or whatever you want to tell them.

They have worms because they are wild caught, usually.

Find a Vet that in your area that can and is willing to treat your caiman, the vet isnt going to be concerned with reporting you, the vet will only be concerned that the animal is being properly cared for and receiving treatment as needed.

Its fine to keep crocodilians in the city I live in, My Vet is located in another City were its against a local ordinance to have crocodilians ... but the Vet is good and thats the Vet I use so I bring my small crocs there to be treated, for my larger crocodilians the Vet will travel to me, but its no big deal and the Vet could care less about the ordinance my Vets only concern is the animals health.

You are talking about a small caiman, not a 7ft crocodile ... if its that much of a problem or that serious of a issue were you reside then I would suggest relocating or relocating the caiman

Another option would be to find a Vet that knows about croc's, speak with the Vet over the phone and explain that the caiman needs to be dewormed but your not willing to bring the animal in and ask if you can just purchase the medication and needles as well as receive some basic instructions.

I get meds quit often from my Vet along with instructions, its no big deal and its quit easy to treat the animal yourself with the proper instructions and medications.

While this is an awesome angle, vet's cannot legally prescibe medications without a vet-client-relationship. This means an exam. Some vets will allow you to circumvent the exam once they are comfortable in your competency level but some people will never gain this trust.

As to the overall vet topic, you'll need to find one you like for simple things like this, so when something severe happens, you already have a vet, and a VCR.
