nice looking stripers
hey thanks.. im glad i bought them they're really nice... i'm trying to beef them up but they dont want to eat like my breeders do..im thinking it could be due to the season changes currently they are approx 30 grams..the male thinned a little over the last month but still looks good just not where i want him to be yet. They're a little picky they dont like mealworms like my other ones and they like to hide under their newspaper..i'm going to make some new hide boxes this weekend maybe that will help them feel more secure..i need to spray the cage a little more often too because they dont seem to like their water bowls like my other ones either...well it adds diversity to the collection i guess lol.

yes, i too am having some trouble with some picky eaters i got. these two girls are arround 5-6 months. they also dont like meal worms and in the past week have almost stopped eating. i know they shouldnt have any bugs or anything becuase i got them from a great place and they have only had contact with each other, sisters. they too hide in their paper or they drag their hide box to the cool side then they go lay on the warm side. im having a hard time figuring them out. i really hope nothing is wrong they are too beautiful. there is a difference though, mine are african fat tails. all and all they are taken care of in the same manner as leos.
i got a fresh cricket shipment once they are warmed up and gut loaded (crystals and pro gecko's mill) ill throw them in there...i was thinking of cutting sponges to size moisten them and put them in a deli container with a hole in it but i dont know i dont want to risk bacteria growth that way...if they loose any more weight ill try metrozol or consult a vet

the whole weight thing may be linked to crickets escaping? I noticed the ventalation holes in his enclosure were slightly larger than the others...i used some electrical tape to patch it untill i can switch his bin with one of the snakes..i can't believe i didnt notice the problem before...it has only been a problem since i switched from large to medium crickets...he still has a fat tail so he should put that weight one real fast

the male has made a HUGE come back ...the holes in his bin were taped for feeding...(bin is being replaced once i find one thats the same size)no crickets escaped and he ate like a PIG lol ..he still wont eat pinkies or mealworms though
