I have recently had a few fake emails that look the part from "Paypal" and when I sent the emails to their spoof check they responded to me that they were indeed fake. So I just thought I would post here about it since I know a whole ton of us use paypal. I don't know if I had some spyware pick up my paypal email or if it is more random than that and this is something going out to everybody.
The initial message was that my account had been accessed overseas or had a attempt at accessing my account from abroad. It went on to say that I needed to verify my info and to use the following link. The "Paypal will never ask for your password" bit was in the email and their logo is on the page as well but apparently this is what is known as phishing for info and the link is false.
So you guys out there be careful and don't get caught by this. Paypal has a email account at spoof@paypal.com that you can send any weird emails and they respond with in 24 hours to let you know if it is from them.
Later Jason
