A $22,000 Investment???

ReptileKeepersWife Jul 26, 2003 02:23 PM

We all know that next season there will be a few super albinos, But now is an oppirtunity to purchase albino tigers and raise them up! 3-4 years will they pay for them selves?? Remember when the pair breed together you should produce the 3 phases.
Jay @Prehistoric has a real passion for the pythons, and is offering some outstanding Albino's.
Wanted some others thoughts! Thanks

I agree with you that they are awesome looking retics and the potential for making money is definitely apparent.

But quite honestly, I think Prehistoric Pets totally over prices their snakes...from regular ball pythons to albino tiger retics. Granted they may produce nice animals, but there are a lot great breeders selling things for less.

I saw on the python classified an albino tiger retic for $8500. If you purchase a super tiger het for albino, or even a regular albino retic, your total out of pocket cash would be roughly $10,000. After 2-3 years breed them and make your money back.

Better yet invest $11,500 and get two albino retics, and the tiger albino I mentioned before and have twice the offspring!!

Just my thoughts....
You could invest $22,000 in a lot of things, just be wise about it.

$10,000 would purchase a motley boa and a hypo and produce hypo motleys! The possibilities are endless...

PF

I don't beileve there are any super hets!! tiger hets yes.
With "het " breeding there is much time wasted and in the sale of hets at 3 years from now might be a hard sell.It sure seems better chance with a whole albino clutch. to pay for it's selve.

It isn't "Ideas" that fail or succeed,... it is the "Systems" which are instilled to launch and sustain the idea that either fail or succeed.>[Me.]
