I have had a gecko for 2 and a half weeks now. I've followed all the common advice for housing. The only problem is feeding. The gecko is about 6" long and probably 5 months old, and only eats every few days. He looks healthy and acts pretty healthy. His only abnormal activity is he is pretty much in heat(walks around his cage licking himself and shooting out what I'm pretty sure is semen). He deficates a decent ammount every other day. So back to the problem: His eating. He really seems less and less interested in food and more interested in what is going on in the room. I'm guessing he just isn't used to his new set up. But since I've had him he's only attempted to eat every 2 or three days. Every two days he eats either 3 mealworms, 3 crickets or 7 waxworms. Other days he just doesn't eat at all...licks the calcium off the bugs and doesn't eat them. If I just leave the worms in a bowl in the tank he doens't notice them. If I stick them in front of him he is more interested in climbing my hand than eating. Also he seems to have lost his drive to hunt down the food. Instead of lunging and attacking the worms he just leans in and eats them. Where do I go from here to get him eating normally?
