Hello there!

Well i have 3 Albigs Female is 53 inches, one male is 61-63 inches, other male is i have no clue but good size. I go through around 2000-2500 mice in six months. So my younger 1.1 will go though around 1500 of that give or take a few hundred. You do that math thats alot of mice.

would i be able to feed a Bt (about3-6'long) more rats than mice, chicks and quail?

scratch my earlier post, i was really tired when I posted it. Actually would a diet composed of 40% mice, 25% rats, 25% chicks and 10% San Diego Turkey diet or insects be okay for an adult black throat?

Thanks

personally I'd go 60% rats, 10% baby chicks, 10% quail, 10 % insects (like raoches) and 10% turkey. That would be a healthy diet. I feed my 2 1/2 yr old 5 ft male 3 lg rats, 3-9 baby chicks, and 1 medium quail per week on average. My colony of hissers isn't large enough to start him on them yet... but that will round off his diet. Remember blackthroats eat a ton... mine would probably eat double what I give him. I use rodentpro.com, because buying the food locally would cost 3-5 times as much. Good Luck.
