jurassic Feb 10, 2006 04:38 PM

She got a jump on the season. Felt 6 eggs total, should be a couple more weeks before she lays.

I'd love to mix some of that green with our blues. Good luck & please e-mail us if any of your potential hatchlings are up for grabs.

There only potential eggs right now, I dont like to jump the gun. I havent worked with Uros much since the early 90's. Recieved about 75 eggs back then one year and couldnt hatch a one! I hope to improove on that if given the chance again. I did hatch alot of varanid eggs last year, so I hope what I have learned will pay off with the Uro's and the Gila's this year.

Congrats! Wow, your uros sure did their thing early this year.
I'm pretty sure my female mali is gravid again this soon too. There's some tell-tale belly weight now (and she's a big girl to begin with).
When did your uros finish their brumation cycle this year?

"Wow, your uros sure did their thing early this year."

I have had eggs in the incubator for a week now. Same female (black flavifasciata aka ebony per D.D.) that laid rather early (mid-March) last year.

Debb, what ever happened to thos babies you hatched out last year from the Ebony's? I was just curious how they looked at an older age.

I kept back the entire clutch of blacks. There is a variety of patterns in the group. Some have heavier banding while others have more ocellations. Even the shading (dark vs light) differs quite a bit. I tried to snap a few shots to show the variety in pattern but unfortunately, I do not think the photos represent this very well.
