I'm hoping some of you can give me tips on assist feeding.
My baby is 5 months old, i believe it was eating f/t pinks up until i got it 7 weeks ago. Its never striked or shown any interest in food since i've had it, otherwise it appears healthy(its captive born). I've tried f/t, live, live fuzzies, live newbies, prodding/aggravating, left overnight in deli cup with live, new cage, decreasing temp, to no avail. I havent been able to try chick scented because of a bird disease in my area no one can sell chicks. Anyways, i tried a assist feed last night and i didnt have too big of a problem getting the pinks head in the snakes mouth but it kept releasing it. How can i get it to hold on? Should i try a piece of rat tail instead and stick it down further, into its throat? I've heard a pink cant be pushed into the throat? Thanks in advance.
