First time Tortoise owner wanna be

Hello, I am looking for some insight/info recommendations on a first tortoise. I live in North Florida and am looking for medium-sized tortoise. I would like one that eats hay and the occasional vegetable..I would provide he/she a wonderful home. Any suggestions?????
