Never seen this before....

jleddy Feb 10, 2006 10:13 PM

I have a ball python that was recently acquired as a rescue, and don't know much about it's past care.
I know that it appears to be in good weight/health other than it's eyes.
Both eyes look like they have a "cracked" appearance on the surface of the eye. Could this be a severely retained eye cap, or multiple retained eye caps? I don't want to go prodding around the poor guy's eyes without knowing for sure that there is a problem. Has anybody ever seen anything like this before?

Can be a sign of low humidity or difficulty sheeding the cap. We have seen both and both were fized using tear wetting drops from the local drug store twice daily.
