Its a female. She is still about 1 1/2 - 2 years from breeding though. I got here from http://www.snakemuseum.com/. It is located in Lodi, CA. A short drive for me. I plan on breeding her to my sinaloan. Here he is. Also from the same place

I'd post more often, on the rare occasion that I have the free time to do so, but I don't have pics to share right now. I wish that I had more time to take pics of my snakes, I just bought another trio of hybrids and they are old enough to breed this year, but I have 2 tests on monday, daily readings and frequent papers and homework assignments - plus the family and critters to care for and my job, so I just never can find the time to set up a nice display for pics. You know what they say, pics are worth a thousand words.

I bet the future for enforcing protected species laws in certain sates will be a nightmare for zoo officials identifying the snakes correctly.
I can hear it now..
"well your honor it looked like a scarlet snake" DUH!
Meanwhile lawyers are preparing a million dollar lawsuit against the zoo.
All in the name of stupid archaihic laws that certain states have protecting native species. Most of those laws protecting all species within a state are a blanket law originating from one incedent.Usually these laws are only upheld to preserve jobs for wildlife enforcement.
but its true
