as far as the nesting box, i made a nice little one for my female p. standingi. it looks like an outhouse. i used flat 1/4" oak pieces. the dimensions of the box are 6" high, 3" wide and 2" deep. the opening is 1 3/4" big. the front also has a door with a latch to make it easy to remove the eggs. i would think the size would be sufficient for a female grandis. my girl loves it and knew exactly what to do with it. i have it attached to the glass cage with velcro. i would send a picture, but i don't know how to post photos.
