Calabar Pythons

MichHerper Feb 11, 2006 01:25 PM

Last year in Daytona I pciked up a calabar python, she ate great and did well for about 3 weeks. Today at a local reptile show I stumbled upon an unrelated adult pair, wild caught of course. And decided to give it a try. Many other hobbyist told me stories of them doing well and then just dying. I was wondering if anyone had any advice. Currently they are being quarentined in some large rubbermaid in my quarentine rack. Being kept at 85 during the day, 75 at night. I have 1-2 inches of bed-a-beast underneath an additional 2 inches of cypress mulch. Humidity is around 80 percent. I have not tried to feed yet. But I do have flagyl and panacur to treat them when I do. Any extra advice would be great. Thanks,
Jeff

Hi - You should post about this in the general Sand Boa forum where some posters have experience. Also, a search on this site on "Calabar" will turn up information.
