A normal. This is because you don't want to dish out the amount of money a male morph costs, only to find out you don't like them, or you can't get them to breed and you were expecting a return on your investment. Not everyone makes it in this hobby, so I would say get your feet wet and breed it to a normal, then go from there.

Everyone will tell you something different. It all depends on your cash flow really. If your just wanting to breed for fun, have a Co-Dom morph for less than an arm and leg then go for a male Pastel. Should be able to pick a good one up for $500-$1000. I've seen them for less. Best thing is to go to a show and talk to a breeder and see if you can get him down some.
If you want to get into something that will get you a good about of money in one breeding go for like a Mojave, Spider, or Cinny. Something like that. I'd also pick up some more females. . . makes more babys and more money.
But as I said everyone will say something different and in the end its all up to what you like and how much you want to spend on a snake.

Whatever you do...I'd wait a bit. You're in no hurry to get a male, you've got a year ahead of you...I'd read around, get familiar w/ the bp forum, get to know people...you'll get a feeling of $$$ and the different morphs you're interested in...Then, a steal will come around and you'll be set. No need to jump into anything...Just have fun!
Just make sure they're not WC's!
