It finally happened, the one thing I had got onto my boyfriend about for months now, "Close the Iguana tank lid after you feed him". He forgot and this time something DID happen. We had taken a nap and at some point my iguana had climbed out and our cat had gotten hold of him. Good news is that she didn't completely mutilate him. I would take him to a Vet that sees Iguanas, but there aren't any for about a 4 hour drive from here.

The cat appeared to do minimal damage. A few small scratches that didn't break through the skin, she chewed on the very tip of his tail, and he has a few gashes that DID break the skin above his right foot, on his left thigh, and a little one on his back. Aside of that, I didn't see much wrong. He's so small (Just about 6 months old) that I can't tell if there is swelling or not.

My questions are this. If anyone lives in the East TN area, could you cue me in to where I could take him for a checkup? Also, is there anything I could do for him while he heals? Something to dress the wounds (which never started bleeding)or a vitamin supplement that would help? I'd appreciate any help I could get. Thanks!

Sincerely,
