Looks like one of my red hots is starting to ovulate! Here is a picture of the pair and check out the swollen midsection on the right side!

That is a beautiful pair! You have aquired the most extensive and amazing collection of reds I have ever seen. I can't wait to see what that female throws with a pairing like that! Good luck with the gal and your red project.
Is it always that easy to tell when a female ATB is ovulating?

Hey Brandon,
Thanks and after you see an amazon or emerald ovulate...it's pretty simple, although still questionable because of natural doube lol. Here is a picture of another female that I had go last year...pretty obvious. The female in my previous post is now refusing food which is another good sign!

I have actually split them up and will wait to see if she goes through a POS shed in the next few weeks. If she isn't in shed by monday or tuesday I will put them back together and see what happens. The male is an extremely aggressive breeder so I will see if she lets him breed some more...
