i just picked up a new sav 3 days ago from a local pet store and he was dyhidrated and skinny that only feed him a hoper mouse once a week so i thought i would give him a good home.i was wondering if there is a way to tell if he is about to shed or anything(this is my first sav)?he is very dark and almost patternless is this normal?he has noly ate a few crix sense i have had him and i tryed to feed him a hopper but he didnt at it.should i try giveing him a few fuzzies instead or waht?i will try to get some pics but not sure how to post on here but will try.i have him in a 55g right now(he is 12ins or so) and was wondering how long till he out grows it and what size he will be when he does out grow it?

with proper temps and food (and assuming it is parasite free) your bosc should out grow a 55g tank in 1-2 months. Start building a real cage now. Id recommend 8'x4'x4'.
