PLEASE HELP VERY SICK SAVANNAH MONITOR

mmiklaw Jul 26, 2003 04:12 PM

Today i went to check on my baby savannah monitor to give him food, and its like he is paralyzed from the neck down. He was fine yesterday, but now all he can do is flick his tongue. He is very weak and all of his body is limp. I am very worried and very sad, becasue i love him very much. I dont know what could possibly be wrong, i only fed him pet store crickets and he has plenty of water. He is only about seven inches long. If someone could offer any help or at least tell me what is wrong i would be very grateful.

Thank you,
Matt Miklaw

You could try soaking him, my female ackie would get like that during breeding season because the male would beat her up (I seperate them now during that time). However when I would soak her she would pick right back up, or maybe it's not getting enough heating. I don't know, but it doesn't hurt to try.

Good Luck,
Sera
